TAX RATE : WOMEN

In the case of a women what is the difference between tax rate in the A.Y 2011-2012 & 2012-2013 because I am working as a nurse in a Govt.hospital and I have filed my return.

                               A.Y. 2012-2013

For resident women below the age of 60 years.

Upto Rs. 1,90,000 Nil

Rs. 1,90,001 to Rs. 5,00,000 10%

Rs. 5,00,001 to Rs. 8,00,000 20%

Above Rs. 8,00,000 30%

                                        

                                            A.Y. 2011-2012

 For resident women below the age of 65 years.

Upto Rs. 1,90,000 Nil

Rs. 1,90,001 to Rs. 5,00,000 10%

Rs. 5,00,001 to Rs. 8,00,000 20%

Above Rs. 8,00,000 30%
